Particularly, the experts addressed the prospects of providing Ukrainian consumers with gas and functioning of Ukraine’s natural gas transmission system.
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) is planning to hold the meeting focused on energy security issues including recommendations of the expert group, as the press office of the institution reported after the expert group’s session on the national security in energy sphere, held by the secretary of the Council Oleksandr Danylyuk.
“The next session of the expert group will be held and after the session proposals on the involvement of decisions of NSDC session will be presented,” the message reads.
Today, on July 19, the Head of the FEC parliamentary committee Oleksandr Dombrovsky, MP Victoria Voytsitska, Representative of the President to the Cabinet of Ministers Andriy Herus, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Anatoly Korzun, First Deputy Chief of Naftogaz-Ukraine Serhiy Pereloma, interim Head of Ukrtransgaz Serhiy Alekseenko, member of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities Oleksandr Formahei were present at the session.
At the session, the experts addressed the condition and issues of Ukrainian natural gas market reform, distinction of activities of Naftogaz-Ukraine in accordance with the European Union (unbundling).
Besides, the experts addressed the prospects of providing Ukrainian consumers with gas and functioning of the natural gas transmission system of Ukraine.
The group on issues of protection of national interests in energy sphere relating to imminent dangers of national security of Ukraine was created after NSDC session under the chairmanship of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The session was held on May 31 2019.
Earlier, the National Security and Defense Council held a session related to the informational security where the instructions to particular institutions were given.
