In 1997 she graduated South Kazakhstan Technical Institute, specialty: International economic relations, qualification: economist by International economical relationship. Theme of the thesis: “Ecological business and ways of its development”

In 2001 she defended Dissertation of degree – candidate of economic sciences. Theme:  “Ecological and economic efficiency of minimize waste”, specialty 08.00. 19 – “Environmental Economics”

In 2010 she defended Dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences.  Theme: “Management of secondary resources from the perspective of efficient use of the theory, methodology and tools”, specialty 08.00. 05 – Economy and management of a national economy (in industries and activities).

In 2006, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor, in 2013 – a professor in the specialty – 08.00.00 “Economics”.

Yessirkepova M. Altyn is the author of more than 600 scientific articles, including 34 articles in journals included in the Scopus database, more than 20 patents for invention, more than 30 certificates, more than 100 monographs, textbooks and electronic textbooks. She is the winner of the VI Republican contest of achievements in the field of inventions “Shapagat-2009” in the nomination “Invention of the year”, the winner in the nomination “The best scientist of 2011 South Kazakhstan region”, the holder of the state grant “The best teacher of the university-2011”, the scholar of the state scientific scholarship nominated by the Committee Science MES RK to scientists and specialists who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of science and technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She was awarded the badge “For contribution to science”. Head and executor of more than 10 funded and contracted research. Member of the Dissertation Council for the specialties “6D051000 – State and Local Government”, “6D090500 – Social Work”, “6D050600 – Economics” at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The author of the first in Kazakhstan desktop economic game “Kasipker kz”, teaching the basics of the green economy.
